Kulamandapam Renovation

Built in the form of a temple in the unique Nagara style of temple architecture, The Lake Mandapam , which is situated on the North Eastern side of the Eastern temple tower stands out for its artistic brilliance and grandeur. Built around a fresh water lake, this imposing copper roofed structure gives you an illusion of a structure that is floating in water! The lake is popularly known as papanasam and it is believed that a dip in the holy waters of the tank will relieve a person from the sins committed by him in his life. The artistic brilliance of the artisans is brought out in all its finesse in the Mandapam, which makes it the main attraction for the tourists. The interiors of the temple are as ornate and beautiful as its exterior and are embellished with carvings and paintings that will leave the visitors spell bound. The historic restoration of Kulamandapam is completed.
